Axl (the White GS mix) was rescued from being chained to a "meth head's" trailer in N. AL. He weighed 62 lbs then, and now weighs 135 lbs. Sweetest Dog in the World. Then came "Bella", whose mom was a chained dog whose owner accepted a roomy kennel, spay, vetting, and new large doghouse (via Alabama Chained Dogs) if the 4 mo old pups in exchange for finding good homes for the pups. We adopted Bella. She has malformation of back legs/hips. She's had one (expensive) surgery and expect another one next month, to make her life free of pain and be able to run and play without danger. They live with another little dog, BoBo and kitty, Maggie. We love to see dogs unchained and work with Alabama Voters for Responsible Animal Legislation (AVRAL) to see that current bill in legislation is enacted.
