Nika was rescued about 2 years ago after she was been dropped off at a shelter while suffering with the mange. Heather Wyatt saved her life. We met Heather at a local pet store where she had Nika there hoping to find her a forever home.

I can't tell you how hesitant I was at first since I have a sick older chocolate lab at home that is not real dog friendly. I was worried the two wild not get along and I could not have been more wrong.

Nika has been such a blessing not only to us and our children, but I believe in my heart she is helping keep my lab alive. Belle (my lab) has a friend now, and we, we have a new furry girl in the mix that makes our heart smiles.

It's funny...they are called "rescue dogs" when in the end they rescue us. Nika found her forever home, her forever family and she forever has our hearts.
