This precious little boy is now 5 months old. He was rescued with his mommy and 8 bro's and sisters from the streets of Tijuana by a rescue organization based in San Bernardino County, and subsequently SisterSister Rescue / San Bernardino took the mother and the surviving 4 puppies into their rescue. I found Dexter through a Web search for "cattle dogs" available for adoption and thank my lucky stars every day that I was the first one to submit an adoption app for him. I had his DNA done; he is 9 breeds of dog, including American Staffordshire/Carin terrier, Field Spaniel and Pharoah Hound -- yes, that's right!! Maybe that's how the St. Bernard breed developed? I get asked all the time if he's a St. B mix. I searched for the right dog for almost two years. We are very lucky to have found such a special dog, so full of life, love and puppiness! It was well worth the wait, and happy to report that the mom and the other 3 pups have all found wonderful homes. GOOOOOOO Pet Adoption organizations! They are doing God's work for us all who are tender hearted towards animals.
