We lost our 7 year old lab to a brain tumor in January 2015. We weren't interested in adopting so soon, but upon visiting Pet Smart in February, our minds quickly changed. That's when we saw Edith. Her eyes met mine and at that moment, all I wanted to do was hold her. I got her out of her cage and, almost if she could feel my heavy heart from the loss of my dog, she laid her head on my shoulder and grabbed a hold of my arm. I didn't want to put her down, but I did. We went home. All I could think about for a week was Edith! I called to make sure she would be back at Pet Smart the following week, as we were eager to go pick her up. We met again and our reunion was as sweet as the last! We decided it was time to adopt! Since then, she has been our heart. She doesn't replace our other dog, but she sure has helped to fill the emptiness that we felt inside. Today, Edith is a good girl and loves to play! She has fit in as a part of our family so well!
