This photograph was taken in September of 2020 at John F. Burke Nature Preserve in Farmers Branch, Texas.
I spotted a few butterflies fluttering around a button bush plant near a pond in the preserve. I tried different backgrounds and finally decided on getting the pond with the greenish reflection from all the vegetation around. After a few tries I was able to get this shot when this particular butterfly was posing on the button bush flower and stayed on it for sometime.
