Two Egyptian Geese visited our backyard for two days in late February.
They are native to Africa and were considered sacred by the Ancient Egyptians, They are found mostly in the Nile Valley and south of the Sahara. Escaped ornamental birds have also bred on occasion in other places, such as Texas, Florida, California.
