Insight about the shot or species
While driving up to one of the tee boxes, this squirrel approached
the golf cart and was willing to get close enough to us perhaps with
the hope of getting some food. We had none to offer. He
then proceeded to climb a small tree near us and came out on the
lowest branch towards me. His convenient pose and proximity allowed me to take the picture. A particularly larger species of squirrel, the Sherman's fox squirrel has, as defining features, a black
head with white nose and ears.
