Rules

Pictures must be horizontal orientation for calendar entry; gotcha days can be either, but vertical is preferred.
Pics for calendar pages MUST measure 5 x7 physical size at 300 DPI to be considered for publication...photos not meeting that standard will be too blurry.
File formats that may be submitted: .jpg, .tif .pdf, .eps files ONLY.
Color or B/W.
NO HUMANS IN PHOTOS.
Please show your dog's BEST side---profile or face pictures are the preferred!
Files must include:
- Name of Dog
- Adoption date (month/year)
- Current Hometown
Top ten photos with the most votes will be featured in our 2023 12-month Pet Calendar as “Pet of the Month”. Three photos will be chosen by an impartial judge to meet calendar needs (such as bluebonnet pictures, holiday pictures, etc). All winners will receive one free calendar for winning. The Grand Prize winner has the option of being the Calendar Cover dog, or one of the monthly dogs.
GRAND PRIZE WINNER COVER PHOTO - To be considered for our Coveted Cover dog, photo submitted MUST be high res, 8 x 10 and horizontal orientation
NON-VOTING CATEGORY: IF you’d like to have your dog with a featured image on their “Gotcha Day”, you may submit their photo under the Category GOTCHA DAY for a donation of $15 with an image that is 2x3 for your dog to be featured.
Email addresses will be initially added to our newsletter database for fundraiser updates

Photo Restrictions

Only photos of HUSKIES are accepted, your photo may contain more than one HUSKY (alum or non-alum)
People are not allowed in your photo, only HUSKIES
ALL PHOTOS MUST BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE CONTEST WEBSITE ,
We cannot accept photos with digital overlays, photo stickers or doodles, or any copyrighted or professional photos
Photos must be horizontal and high resolution. Generally, photos taken with older mobile phones are not high enough resolution
Once entered, photos become the property of TEXAS HUSKY RESCUE to be used for print and marketing purposes
