Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Dakota (FKA Aurelia) from TXHR in October 2017. She was found as a stray, had stage 4 heart worms, ear infections, eye infections, and was matted and emaciated. Needless to say, she was on the euthanasia list before the wonderful people at TXHR pulled her. Whitney Barnes was fostering her and we met both of them at an adoption event in Austin. The rest is history! We love her so much and Whitney has now been a close friend for 3 years. Unfortunately we found out that she’s much older than what was originally suspected but we love every moment with this sweet, sassy girl!
