Pet's Story or Bio
Don't let all her fluff fool you, Julia was a skinny, anxious, short haired girl, covered in fleas and in need of medical care when TXHR rescued her in 2015. She is a testament to what this rescue does every day. With a little time and a lot of love, Julia grew into the fluffy queen she is today. A Texas girl at heart, Julia made the tough decision to move to Boston in 2018 to pursue the dream of all Texas huskies, to live where there is snow! Nowadays Julia spends her winters frolicking across New England and her summers at the beach in Cape Cod. In her old age she has survived breast cancer and recently a stroke, but she hasn't let that stop her from pursuing her dream career as a culinary food critic with discerning taste and opinions. For example, Julia demands that every meal consist of sustainably sourced beef and lamb. She likes fruit plates but only if the fruit is finely diced and only if the mango and watermelon is in season. What can we say? She is a Queen and we are just living in her world.
