Pet's Story
Winston was rescued from a small town in Iowa in the winter of 2017. He was living with an elderly gentleman who loved him (and his 6 fur-siblings) but couldn't afford to give them the care he (and his pets) deserved. Winston lived with me for 10 months before contracting Yorkie Meningitis - a usually fatal disease. He woke up from a nap no longer able to stand or walk straight. After two MRI's, 15 months of chemotherapy treatments, two spinal taps and one spinal surgery (that we could afford because of UnitedHealthcare's employee benefit of Pet Insurance) - he beat the odds and is living his best life!
