Pet's Story
Jack is a retired racing Greyhound. He raced for 5 years until he broke his leg in the final turn of what would be his last race. Jack unfortunately bounced around the rescue system for three more years until he was brought to a rescue group in Illinois. We had just lost our Greyhound, Cooper, to an aggressive cancer and met and fell in love with this shy fawn boy and adopted him at age 8. It took him months to come out of his shell. He is now 11 years old and a sweet and goofy boy afraid of his own shadow, but loves with his whole heart. He is a wonderful big brother to the foster Greyhounds we bring into our home to get them ready for their forever homes. He makes us laugh and it breaks our hearts he has not had the warm couch (he now calls his) for more of his life. Rescue. It may save you too.
