Pet's Story
Ghost was rescued from a shelter in Alexandria, VA. He was abused prior to being adopted and was initially frightened of all humans. He had been returned to the shelter three times. One day, Joe showed up at the shelter with no intention of getting a dog, and Ghost (named Oreo at the time), came up to Joe and licked him on the face. It was love at first lick! After that, Joe worked with Ghost to make him now one of cuddliest, most loving dogs you could ever know. He is extremely intelligent, expressive, and protective. As a border collie and blue healer mix, he is the best of both worlds. While he is very independent, he is truly loyal and a wonderful companion. He is quite majestic and if he could talk would be quite eloquent. He likes to sachet (think dressage) when he goes for walks because he knows how handsome he is. We love Ghost and feel so lucky to be his humans.
