Pet's Story
Scruffy is a rescue from Polk County Bully Project and new to our family. My 11 year old son originally fostered and trained Scruffy in July through a two week summer camp program called Camp Doglando. It was the goal to train the pup and market him for adoption. At the end of the program Scruffy was ready for a fur-ever home but was ultimately returned back to the rescue to await adoption. After more than a month Scruffy was still not adopted due to the high volume of dogs needing homes. The love from my son never waivered and he asked if we could adopt him. The happy ending to this story is that our family made the decision to adopt him and now he is an official member of the family fur-ever!
