Pet's Story
Both Blue (golden retriever) and Guinness (plott hound mix) are adopted from a rescue. Blue's owner unfortunately passed away unexpectedly, we fostered him, and then he was placed in training as a service dog. After a few months of training, it was decided he would be a better family dog than a service dog and we decided to adopt him. Guinness is our senior dog we adopted as a puppy who was originally very grumpy about having a new energetic younger brother (she was not unhappy about seeing him off to training). As you can see, even though she pretends on occasion she's not his biggest fan, as she's slowed down over the years, she's a fan of snuggles and willing to share her dog bed with him. On days she has more energy, she will even initiate play. On the other days, Blue is more than happy to just be next to her.

Pet's Best Personality Trait
Both dogs are gentle and loving, while each having their own personality quirks. Blue loves to start every morning rolling down our hill, much to the enjoyment of the neighborhood.

Pet's Favorite Thing To Do
Both love to be in the woods and are active in dog sports (nose work and retrieving).
