Pet's Story
I had just moved to Denver in May of 2020. I was new to the city and lonely due to the state of the world when I began my search for a puppy. I came across the sweetest four-month-old Springer Spaniel, Australian Shepard, Border Collie mix litter for adoption. I put in an application the day that I saw them. Lenny was the last one left, and I got him June 27, 2020.

Funny enough, the same day I got him, we spent a lot of time outside starting our potty-training journey. My brother, Hank, lived down the road from us in Denver and was coming over to meet his new "nephew". As Lenny and I were outside, Hank got into a bike accident and broke his collar bone. We ended up spending a lot of time in the hospital that night and once we got home, Lenny was the best healing dog of all time! This was a day that I will never, ever forget. I will be forever grateful for Lenny being a great puppy for the next couple of weeks taking care of Hank after surgery!

Lenny & I made multiple trips back "home" to Northern Wisconsin, went for lots of hikes in the mountains, traveled to Texas, traveled to Oklahoma and made a lot of memories together. In May of 2023, we moved back to my hometown to be closer to family. Since then, we moved to 10 acres of beautiful land in the country. Lenny loves being able to run around and play fetch! He is so happy here and it makes me happy being able to watch him grow up in such a large yard instead of apartment.

I can confidently say that Lenny is the best thing to ever happen to me! I love his funny personality. He never fails to give a "side eye" when he would rather take a nap than play. Lenny loves to go on our side by side and go for rides too! He still comes everywhere with us, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
