Pet's Story
Margot was one of four 3-week-old stray kittens my wife and I found on the side of the road one cold and snowy October night. We hand-reared them, successfully found homes for two with close friends, and we adopted two, Margot (pictured) and her sister Amelie. They have a fascinating story! We determined, (don't ask me how), that they are from Paris, France. How they ended up in Santa Fe, NM, is a mystery, but we are so happy they've joined our household. They have brought love, laughter, and exuberant energy to our already full house of fur babies - four adult male cats ("les oncles," who needed a little waking up), and two young dogs - all steadfast playmates and nap buddies. Plus, their addition did finally prompt me to make good on my promise to our older kitties and build a long-awaited catio, (finished last month), which has given all the cats a chance to enjoy the outdoors safely, without becoming coyote snacks.

Pet's Best Personality Trait
Margot's a Tortoiseshell, and Torties are talkers, so she's giving me lots of opportunity to dust off and practice my French!

Pet's Favorite Thing To Do
Playing chase with her sister Amelie. They go tearing through the house and out into the catio. And if the dogs join in, it makes it so much more exciting!
