Allie's mother was rescued from flood waters in the summer of 2015. Despite how malnourished and small she was, the next day, she had a litter of pups. We visited the animal rescue with the intention of adopting one of her litter mates, but when the pups were let out to visit with us, the others ran off in the field playing with each other, while Allie waddled over to us. She plopped down next to us and started playing with one of our shoelaces.

She overcame a difficult entry into the world, she was the runt, she struggled with worms as a young pup, but she has grown into a beautiful and adventurous dog who loves hiking in the woods and cuddling with her family. We are grateful she chose us.
