By March he had 2 failed adoptions and wasn’t doing well with the stress becoming too much for him in the shelter. For his mental health, he was going to be euthanized. By some miracle, the shelter ran out of medication so Toast got a pass.
The Ross Co. Humane Society director decided that maybe that was the world saying he needed another chance, so she posted a plea for a foster. March 25 he got lucky enough to go to a foster home with Stacey Russell who trained him, took him to primary/intermediate schools to visit often, and loved him. Between 03/25/24-08/31/24, he had 2 more failed adoptions. 09/01/24 I decided to trial foster to adopt after seeing a picture of Toast online and a few months after losing my dog, and the rest was history. He was the piece me and my two young boys were missing. I will forever be in disbelief who wouldn’t want this sweet, energetic, large loving boy but we are thankful he is ours. 🤍
