Abby (or Abigail, if she’s in trouble) is a purebred miniature pinscher who we suspect was abandoned for not meeting breed standard, but we think she’s perfect. Seven years ago, she was dropped off near my mom’s house and accidentally backed into with a farm truck. While recovering inside, she decided she lived with us now. Abby is a polite lady who asks permission before getting on the couch, loves snacks, people, and squirrels, and her feline sister (the feeling isn’t mutual). She’s nervous around other dogs but has the biggest heart.

Abby proves that rescue dogs—no matter how they arrive in your life or what pedigree papers say—deserve love, safety, and a soft couch. She’d make the perfect spokesdog for showing that every dog is a good dog, and every rescue has value.
