Sabbath is the definition of Athens underdog. He was originally found wandering the backroads of Athens County, where he was found by the humane society. It was also evident that he suffered abuse before being abandoned. He was there for some time before he was eventually adopted, but re-surrendered months later. He was then the longest resident of the shelter, living there over 130 days before I adopted him. At his time in the shelter he became the unofficial mascot, frequently staying in the office and playing with guests. He is still recognized across campus from past workers. He is the sweetest dog with a unique personality, and he shows that no matter what happens in life, there is always a story and a place for an underdog.
