Meet Leia! Leia is what we call a Foster Failure, meaning her foster home loved her so much they ‘failed’ and adopted her themselves. Leia came to United Doberman Rescue and Canine Castaways of MN, in January 2017, as a 10 month old puppy. Initially, her foster family had no intention of adopting her, but Leia had other ideas! Her foster dad had surgery soon after her arrival in MN, and Leia would not leave his side for the entire recovery period. It didn’t take long before the loving feeling was mutual. After 4 months, Leia’s foster family decided she was already home and officially adopted her. Leia now spends her time happily supplying snuggles and that special unconditional Dobie Love to her people, and gives her fur sister Ella a constant companion. She is a one-of-a-kind redhead beauty, who keeps her family laughing with her silly antics.
