Emmy June came to me when she was not quite 2 years old. Her owner at that time no longer wanted her and asked her vet to put her “down”. Luckily that office was able to convince her to relinquish her to an Australian shepherd rescue agency and after a month in a crate at that office she made her way north to be my “foster dog”. One look at that beautiful, hopeful face and I was a goner!! She has been a joy to live with. She is my shadow and has been my constant companion on many adventures over the last 12 years. We both move a little more slowly these days and sometimes our adventures are a good nap or two but the love and affection she has always given me is still going strong!!!
