Pet's Age6
Your Pet's Story or BioSully nearly lost his life to kidney disease last December, but gave his family eight more precious months together. *UPDATE: Since this fundraiser began, his vet discovered a lung mass, and two weeks on August 10th he transitioned across the rainbow bridge. Sully was a 6yr old Bernese Mountain Dog rescue placed with his forever family while living in Colorado. He spent 4 fun years exploring the Rocky Mountains before hitting the road with his family in their RV. They then settled in Marquette in late 2024. Having been on snowmobiles, planes, boats, bikes, golf carts, and more, Sully traveled and adventured beyond what most humans will in a lifetime. Since our gentle giant will no longer grace us in this realm, honoring him on the UPAWS calendar cover feels like a valiant start. Sully bear is as sweet as they come and is already greatly missed by many!!
Why support UPAWS and why vote for my pet!We support UPAWS because it is a fantastic resource for the community and its furry friends! Among the many important services they provide, Sully had a love/hate relationship most of all with the donation based self-service bath/grooming room they offer. He's never been much for baths but when he's all clean and done he's as proud as can be! Having traveled well over 30,000 miles around the U.S., Sully's love for adventure and the outdoors truly embodies the spirit of the UP. His favorite place is in the woods at his grandpa's house on Mackinac Island just a short walk to the lake with views of the Mackinac Bridge. Voting for Sully for next years calendar will not only raise money for UPAWS but will help us commemorate the beautiful life we had with him, filled with love, excitement and joy <3 Thanks so much for your support!
