Your Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Sage from UPAWS in September of 2025. We quickly learned that she is timid with new people, but once she is out exploring in the woods she shines! She is immediately nose-to-the-ground sniffing out any critters she can find. Once home she demands to be tucked in under a blanket so she can snooze properly. She is eager to please, and has learned over 30 tricks since I have had her.

UPAWS is fantastic in their dedication to keeping the animals happy and healthy so they can thrive and find their new forever homes. They are always working to improve their facility to streamline the process of taking an animal in to finding their new family. I chose this photo for you to vote for Sage because it demonstrates her love for sniffing in the outdoors but also her need to be cozy (she hates the cold so loves her sweaters). This was from our first trip with her to Copper Harbor this past fall, and displays the beauty of the upper peninsula as well.
