Your Pet's Story or Bio
The "Big Fitz" is a Great Danoodle. A gentle giant, he tolerates the toddler hugs, the cats playing with his tail, sugarplum petals that get tangled in his large, floppy ears, and the tiny yappy dogs who want to be his best friends, all with equal serenity. He likes everyone, but most of all, he loves his Steve, who he must touch when sharing the couch and against whom he must lean at all other times. Leaning may be his super power, along with his magical ability to fill our winter days with warmth and all our days with joy and profound communication. And ever his own dog, Fitz's favorite food is Braunschweiger and his favorite accessory, his winter sock-monkey socks. Our mail person said, "he's probably as close to perfect as anybody gets."

Support Fitz, because people need to see how kindness, in whatever species, is what the world needs more of. MOST OF ALL, vote for all the cats and dogs here and at the shelter because every cat and dog I've ever known was "as close to perfect as anybody gets." Give them ALL your votes and your support.

Fitz, when he was smaller (he was never little), would nip at my fingers. With a little loving training, he learned that humans are fragile. He learned us. And we learned patience and the interesting difference in how he communicates with all other species. We learned that he is as individual as each one of us. Animals, like humans, have a language that conveys feelings and thoughts. Face to face, hand to paw, communication is possible. It gives me hope for humans.
