Your Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Leelah, a parakeet (budgie) from the VBSPCA in 2015. He was a little feisty and didn't want to be held or touched but we chose him anyway, accepting him for who he was. He enjoys posing for photos when it suits him and hanging out with his buddies, Sunshine (an American parakeet) and Harmony (a cockatiel). Leelah still isn't much for being touched but he lets us know in his own way that he is happy and at home. We were told he was released because he sang too much and was quiet when he first came to us. Now he sings throughout the day with his friends and it's music to our ears! A VBSPCA success story!
