We adopted Marley, a puggle (pug/beagle mix) from the Virginia Beach SPCA in 2014. We had been searching shelters for several weeks, looking for the perfect addition to our family. After visiting multiple shelters, we found ourselves at the VBSPCA. We had not found the perfect pet, and were walking out feeling quite discouraged, when Marley (on a leash held by a VBSPCA volunteer) ran over to my young daughter. We immediately visited with Marley and spent the next several hours falling in love with her. We began the adoption process that day, and brought her to her forever home two days later. Marley loves snuggling with her family, making friends with everyone who visits our home, playing ball in the backyard, the last bite of ice cream, and bath time. Her favorite toy is her "chewy," which we have to sneak to replace every few weeks!
