Why everyone should vote for my animal
Max was abandoned by his family when they moved. Thank “dog” he was caught by a Mexican rescue and volunteers nursed him back to health. Max had zero adoption applications after 8 months in the shelter so they sent him to Van Isle in hopes that he’d have a better chance at a forever home. Four foster months went by and no interest, so we figured he was already home. So much for never getting another dog (husband thoughts).

Max is afraid of fast moving feet. He’s come a long way with allowing all humans back into his life. He is quirky cool and is fiercely loyal to us, his family. Max has a big heart and wants you to know, “take kindness with you as you meet other street dogs”. Someone did that for him and now he is living his best life, and so are we!
