Meet Esmee (Ezzy), my sweet 14-year-old sidekick and the very definition of “Girls’ Best Friend.” For 12.5 years, she’s been my partner in adventure—hiking trails, exploring parks, and traveling across the U.S., always ready for the next road trip, scenic stop or quiet moment together with a pup cup. She’s smart, endlessly sweet, and just a little reactive, which only adds to her personality. Esmee came to me as a rescue, with an incredible arsenal of tricks, each performed with flair when treats are involved—her sit, spin, roll over, and "find & bring it" skills never fail to impress. She’s as gentle as can be with the grandkids, patiently soaking up their attention and joining in their games.
