Sassafras (aka Sass, Sizzles, Sizzy) was just a puppy when she was found in a trash can in PG County, MD. Due to the breed ban there, a Good Samaritan brought to HRA in Washington, DC so she could have a chance at a new life. Sass may be small, but she has a BIG personality (hence the name) and in true pittie fashion needs to be a close as possible to you..at all times. She LOVES to go on long walks to the Capitol to scope out the squirrels and show everyone what a good girl she is! We’ve been together for 6 years and I am so grateful for her companionship each and every day.
