Everyone please meet my boy Kermit! Kermit is a very special pup. I was able to rescue him just days before he was set to be euthanized in a kill shelter in Cleveland Ohio. I came across this two color eyed handsome pants while scrolling through facebook. His picture was posted by volunteers at the Cleveland Kennel. He had a handsome little red sweater on and a little shy look on his face. In his write up attached to his photo the volunteers were pleading for someone to save this sweet boys life. I will always remember the bio they wrote. "This sweethearted boy needs someone to boost his confidence and show him that life can be full of love. Someone please save Kermit he is on code red with just days left to live." I saw his euthanasia date and it was scheduled for four days away. There was something about this pup. I knew I needed to save him! I contacted the kennels right away! It took me an hour drive to get to him and meeting him for the first time brought me to tears! Kermit was 30 pounds under weight. You could count his vertebrae and you could count his ribs. His little hips where showing through his skin and he had scars on top pf his head and all over on his elbows. I held him in my arms and just kept telling him "you are beautiful Kermit!" I made my decision right then and there I need to bring him home. I worked with him every day to show him he could trust me and that I would love him and treat him right. Slowly but surly he started to trust me. It took six months of trying but he started to open up. He started to love, cuddle, snuggle, and play! He not only accepted my other two pits and my Boston terrier but he accepted my young daughter. He started to show his real personality and it was AMAZING! Kermit has the biggest most kind heart! He loves deep and listens well! He is a smart cookie with a gentle soul. He will steal your heart forever with his blue eye that mesmerizes you and a brown one that will melt your heart! His favorite activities are belly rubs, long walks, car rides, giving kisses and any where he can ham up his good looks ;) I truly have no idea who could ever hurt this sweet angel and discard him like his life did not matter but those decision led my sweet Kermie to the path that connected him to me, and for that I will be forever grateful! I could not have rescued a better boy and if anyone deserves to be the face and voice of a rescue calendar, my Kermie would have my vote times a thousand!! <3 I love you Kermit!! You are safe with me forever! :)
