a little about me...
Charlie is a proud Verona Street Alumni! Adopted by his parents in June of 2018, he has been a blessing from the start. Shortly after Charlie got settled into his new home, his parents decided to do something that has been a thought for awhile - making Charlie a service dog. His puppy dad, a Marine Corp veteran, served in Afghanistan for eight months, came home and struggled with mental illnesses including PTSD, anxiety and depression.
After a few long months of a lot of training, patience and treats (of course!), Charlie was fully certified to provide services that no human could provide to his dad. Charlie was known around Wegmans, the park, neighborhood and most importantly the gym. Tragically, in January of 2020, his dad lost his battle with PTSD.
Although Charlie does not wear his vest every day anymore, he still "clocks in" to work when his family needs it most. He is the most loving, caring and sweet boy. Don't let the big head and big muscles fool you xoxo
