Hudson was rescued at about 1.5 yrs old after spending most of his life chained to a tree. At the time of his rescue, Upstate NY was experiencing one of the coldest winters in some time and he was almost 20 lbs underweight with frostbite on his tail, ears and paws. A friend of WRN, the amazing Bonnie Kelleher, took Hudson in and cared for him until we adopted him a few weeks later. He was been an amazing addition to our family and now he lives in sunny California where he will never be cold again!
Hudson is our 3rd forever Weim, and of course we have had several foster dogs come and go in our house (and our hearts).

Tell us about your pets funny quirks, habits and personality!
He loves to play with his ball, in fact it is rarely out of his mouth! He is also a giant cuddle bug like most Weims I know!
When we lived in NY we also discovered he was quite the hunter, ridding our property of every woodchuck and other beastie he could find. Sadly, suburban Central Valley California has been quite boring in that regard for him.
He has his intermediate obedience certificate, canine good citizen and we have started to work on a little bit of rally training just for fun.
