We adopted Claude 2 years ago, when he was just 1. He is our 4th Weimaraner, but our first rescue. We took our other Weimi, Kasper, to the shelter when we first went to visit Claude (to see how they interacted .) They were absolutely and immediately smitten with each other. It was instant LOVE for us all. Claude sat in the front seat on the way home, but for the entire ride, (3 hours,) he sat backwards in the seat, staring at me with his paw on my knee. I love this sweet boy endlessly.

Tell us about your pets funny quirks, habits and personality!
Claude is a very big, goofy Weimaraner. He came to us with a different name, but he would not respond to it. From the very beginning, he has been my shadow, taking every step that I take. He wanted to be so close, that he used to step on the back of my feet when I was walking. I began to call him clodhopper. He actually began to respond to that nickname, so I renamed him Claude. When Claude is not running, chewing on sticks, or patrolling the chicken coop, he loves to lay on the very back of the sofa on top of all of the cushions. He also likes to lay not only on the bed, but prefers to lay across BOTH pillows. When he is sleeply, he will pick a pillow up in his mouth, take it to his bed, and lay his head on it. For a dog who spent his previous life continually in a kennel, he is certainly enjoying a luxurious life now.
