I found Flik by accident on Petfinder. I saw this really cute little face licking her nose at our local pound. I watched her for almost 6 weeks until at Christmas her puppies were gone and she was alone. In January, I sent in a donation to have her spayed. January 20th I got a card from the pound, thanking me for the donation and asking if I had seen her photo in the Sunday Paper advertising her. I had and I told my husband that no one else was getting my dog! We went to the Tuscarawas Country Pound and met with Karen the Warden. She told us that at the beginning of November they found "Mommers" tied to their gate out by the road. She was tied so close to the pole that she couldnt move and she was so pregnant that they thought she would burst. All the pups went at Christmas but they loved her so much they gave her all the time she needed to be adopted. She fit right in and has known all 6 of the weims that have come and gone in my life. I think she was meant for us.

Tell us about your pets funny quirks, habits and personality!
Flik is a Coonteagle! We did her DnA and she is Beagle, Red Bone Coonhound and Jack Russel. One of a Kind in our book. Feisty and will just about kill for a single kibble, she's is ruled by her nose. She used to bury toys in the couch cushions and she raised one of my weims from a pup. She's loving and loyal and she grieved like I did when we lost that one she raised last year. Oh, and she's a ninja, jumping up on tables and countertops in her never ending search for food. Flik is our honorary Weimaraner.
