We picked up Leila from a rescue in Virginia because she was lactating and drove with her to Georgia in the nick of time. This beautiful and brave mama helped us nurse these puppies for a few weeks until they were stable enough to supplement with formula. She nursed these puppies when they needed a mother and she took care of them in a way we could never have imagined. She was a breeder dump who had her last litter taken from her very young. She is timid at times and truly suffered a great deal before she was taken in by the rescue. She is a happy love bug now who loves snacks and sleeping right next to you. She has been an amazing mama and is happy she no longer has to breed more puppies.

Leila is a goofball who loves to dance with her humans. She has an interesting bark and no sense of personal space. She has a tiny nub for a tail and she’s super tall. She drools like a maniac and trots around effortlessly to spread that drool all around. She’s a love filled dog with a wonderful heart.
