CARE (Compassionate Animal Rescue Efforts) is a group focused on the improvement of Westbury, a neighborhood located in the southwest area of Houston, Texas through animal related rescue and community outreach and education. CARE's focus is to monitor and offer support to stray and loose animals in Westbury while improving the quality of care for animals living in our neighborhood.
We address many of the growing problems in Westbury which include roaming/stray animals, lost/found animals, and a lack of neutering, spaying, microchipping, and pet licensing. We offer guidance on animal topics such as training, grooming, and proper veterinary care.
In 2016 we rescued, fostered, vetted and found forever homes for over
140 dogs and cats! These successes were made possible by the diligent efforts of our committed group of volunteers and donations for our supporters!
