Rules –Photo Submission

The contest is open to anyone.
Photos of any household pet accepted.
Your photo may contain more than one pet, or you can submit a separate entry for each of your pets.
Your photo entry does not have to be of a rescue pet.
We encourage you to submit a short story about your pet. The story will be printed along with your pet photo.
The top twelve photos with the most votes will be featured as Pet of the Month for one month in the 2019 Westbury CARE calendar.
All entries outside of the Top 12 will be featured on a randomly-selected day within each month. An additional $10 donation is required to reserve a specific calendar day to feature your pet's photo.
We encourage you to share your entry and encourage others to VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!
Entries must be submitted online starting September 15, 2018 at 9:00 am CST and before October 19, 2018 at 8:00 PM CST.
Photos must be clear, of good quality and high resolution — 600 dpi or higher in PNG or JPG format — and no greater than 5MB. Photos taken with a mobile phone are typically not of high enough quality.
We cannot accept poor quality or any copyrighted photos. If your photo is not of high enough quality, Westbury CARE will request a replacement photo.
Once entered, photos and pet stories become the property of Westbury CARE to be used for print and marketing purposes, including publication on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.
Each entry requires a $5 donation to Westbury CARE.

Voting

Public votes for photo entries must be submitted online before October 19, 2018 at 8:00 PM CST.
There is no limit to the number of times you can vote.
GoGo Photo Contest website allows for votes to be "banked" and used at a later date.

Voting Fees

Contest ends October 19, 2018 at 8:00 PM CST
Each vote is $1, sold in blocks of $5. There is no limit to the number of votes one may cast. You may vote for your own photo and you may spread your votes across multiple animals. The top 12 will win a prize.
When you purchase your "votes" you are actually making a donation to Westbury CARE.
When you complete your transaction to purchase votes, you will receive a confirmation email.
All donations are non-refundable.
American Express is not an accepted form of payment in this contest.
Use of Stripe for online payment processing through the gogocalendarcontest website is required. However, you can pay "offline" for votes. If interested, please contact fundraising@westburycare.org.

Miscellaneous

We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason. Should this happen, we will notify you and refund your entry fee if desired.
Westbury CARE reserves the right to modify or clarify any of the contest rules during the term of the contest without advance notice.
