CARE (Compassionate Animal Rescue Efforts) is a group focused on the improvement of animal welfare in Houston, Texas through animal related rescue and community outreach and education. CARE's focus is to monitor and offer support to stray and loose animals in Houston while improving the quality of care for animals living in our neighborhoods.
We address many of the growing problems in Westbury which include roaming/stray animals, lost/found animals, and a lack of neutering, spaying, microchipping, and pet licensing. We offer guidance on animal topics such as training, grooming, and proper veterinary care.
This year (2018) we
expanded our borders and started
interstate transport which has dramatically increased our intake and adoption rate! So far this year we rescued, fostered, vetted and found forever homes for over
100 dogs and cats! BUT this has also significantly increased our vetting costs so we need more help now than ever! Our successes are made possible by the diligent efforts of our committed group of volunteers and donations for our supporters! Thank you for your support!
