Pet's Story
Tess was a foster fail! When she was brought into the shelter she was in bad shape...thin, malnourished, had a skin infection, scared, and not very friendly to anyone. She was shut down and closed off. As a volunteer and approved foster for the shelter I was volunteering at, I was asked to take her home and see what I could do with her. It was all about patience and building trust with this girl. Within a week or so, Tess started crawling into bed with my daughter. She liked to snuggle under the covers and my daughter loved it! It was endearing and the first sign of her trusting anyone in our family. Over time, Tess came out of her shell and revealed her silly, sweet personality to us - and her obsession with balls and fetch. It was obvious that she would need a special home, one which understood her personality and could provide what she needed in order to be her best doggy self. Turns out, we were the perfect home and have an endless supply of balls!
