Pet's Story
Miya was rescued by a serviceman in Okinawa, Japan. He found her on the streets as a puppy, took her to a Humane Society on the base in Okinawa and she was then transferred to a Humane Society in Silver Springs, Maryland. My daughter was a volunteer there and decided to adopt her. As our daughter's life became more complicated she found she did not have time to spend and decided to re-home her. That's how she ended up with us. We decided to make sure she stayed in the family, so we drove from New Mexico to Maryland to get her and moved her to New Mexico. Since then, we've moved to Washougal. She's a pretty well traveled dog!!
