Pet's Story or BioIt was love at first sight one October Sunday, when Robert first saw 2-year old Koby (then “Tank”) laying outside the human society mobile in U Village. I heard the tale of this glorious creature surrounded by cats, and kids, just calmly laying there (like a Lorelei I thought). I said no dog. Hmmm, but Robert kept thinking about Koby- and the following day (when I was working) called to see if he had been adopted - sure that he must have been... but not so...upon hearing Koby was still in the shelter - Robert drove directly over and adopted him, he couldn’t stand the thought of Koby in a shelter - he “had to go get him.” Hence my surprise at the discovery that an 80 lb dog (described as not house trained and destructive) was living with us. :) The first night he slept in bed with us and took one time for Koby to be house trained. He spent the first few years with Robert at his music school greeting students and making friends with the parents and other teachers. He was a frisbee master, loved snacking on radishes, spinach, braunschweiger, goat cheese; was a champion cuddler, fantastic traveler - from going locally wherever we went, to road trips to Santa Fe, Sonoma, Oregon Coast. He had a huge heart and tremendous capacity to learn, focus. Koby was truly our best friend and gave us years of life-changing of joy and devotion. It was fate.
