Pet's Story
Squid is a 7 year old rescue pup and proud Manitoba Mutts alumni who was adopted by his two moms in the fall of 2019. Not long after that, in June 2020, one of his grand mammas passed away suddenly. Being the cuddly, loving, brave soul he is, Squid stepped up and became his moms support critter making sure she got out of bed to take him for walks every morning and every night and always sticking right by her side when she was feeling sad. He was the sweetest boy and one of the main sources of joy and light through a very dark time. He and his family are now thriving and he is as he’s always been, a happy boy who cuddles his people when they’re down and brings laughter and fun to any setting he’s in…. Once he gets past his little pup syndrome of course. He enjoys being outside, camping, canoeing, definitely not swimming, and loves spending time on the couch, usually pressed up against or snuggled in the lap of one of his moms. Despite now being an adult dog of divorce and traveling between households every other week, he gets along great with his other 2 dog and 4 cat siblings. The kicker… he now has 4 loving moms instead of 2 between both homes so the tiny, big hearted boy gets all the love he needs and sometimes more than even he probably wants.
