Participants must be residents of Manitoba. Voters from outside of Manitoba and Canada are welcomed and eligible.
Is there a cost to enter?
Entry is free! Once you have entered the contest, you can donate toward your pet and share with family and friends so they can support too.
Does my pet have to be adopted from WHS to enter/win?
This fundraiser is open to any eligible animal, they do not have to be an alumni of WHS.
Eligible animals include:
- Dogs and cats
- Rabbits
- Birds (common pet species such as dove, canary and finch, cockatiel, lovebird, budgies, conure, quaker parrot)
- Ferrets, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, hamsters, rats, mice, gerbils, guinea pigs, and chinchillas
My pet has passed away, may I still enter him/her?
Yes, you can! But remember you need to have digital quality photos of them. Please review the Photo Requirements in the Rules & Regulations. If you would like your photo to be reviewed, please send it to us at
events@winnipeghumanesociety.ca.
How do I change my entry photo?
If you would like to change your entry photo, please email the new photo and a link to your entry to
events@winnipeghumanesociety.ca.
What if there is a tie?
If there is a tie the contestants will be put in a draw to determine who gets the calendar spot.
Will my donors receive a tax receipt?
Yes, those who donate $18.00 or more will receive a tax-receipt. Tax receipts will be sent out within 2 weeks of receiving your donation.
