I adopted Spot 1.5 years ago from the Winona Area Humane Society. Spot had been hit by a car in Winona and brought to WAHS. He was underweight and scared of everyone/everything, including me at first. His actions and fears made it seem like he had been abused. I fostered him for several weeks, which was a really difficult time for both of us due to his fears and behaviors. However, through encouragement and help from friends, I decided to adopt him.

I'm really proud of Spot. He's made a tremendous amount of progress in the short time I've had him. He loves having play dates with other dogs. As a border collie/cattle dog, he is full of energy! He is also very intelligent and quickly understands training cues. He is definitely a success story!
