Takka came to the Winona Area Humane Society in 2015. Several years ago we microchipped all of our adoptions and stray reclaims, providing the owners the information on how to register the chip. Takka ended up in a kill shelter in Philadelphia with a chip that still registered to WAHS. Nobody came for her so we reclaimed her, a volunteer group transported her cross country and here she is in Winona. We have been working with her in a long term foster setting. She enjoys running, boating but definitely not swimming, and chasing squirrels.
