Sprocket's peaceful expression took more than 3 months in the making. He was a very spicy foster kitten. Trapped at 3 months old, he'd never had any contact with humankind - just the kind human who'd fed him and his momma and siblings from a distance. I reluctantly decided to help. It just seemed too soon after my husband had died unexpectedly. I knew it was going to take a lot of time, effort and patience to get him adoption-ready. I wasn't sure I was up for it. Little by little he decided people weren't so bad and I decided life wasn't so bad. Spending all that time with Sprocket to help socialize him saved me as well. It gave me purpose and reason to get up in the morning. He found a great loving and patient home with another young cat buddy he adores.
