When Homer was rescued as a puppy from the streets of Dallas, he had severe heartworm and was suffering an extreme allergic reaction. Homer’s dad found him just in time and adopted him without hesitation. It took several months to safely treat the heartworm, but ultimately, he prevailed! Five years and 5 states later, Homer is now living life to the fullest in Kansas.

Homer’s mom had never had a dog before meeting Homer and now she can’t possibly imagine a life without him! He's the sweetest, most happy-go-lucky dog in the world. A recent surgery required him to wear a “cone of shame.” His mom found him a “Comfy Cone” and Homer was caught smiling some of his biggest smiles during that time.

Homer's favorite snack is frozen blueberries. In his free time, Homer enjoys trotting around the backyard, taking naps, and playing with friends at the park!
