Everyone meet, Jimmy! Jimmy is an 8 year old gentleman that we rescued in 2008. Jimmy's prior owners bought him as a puppy to be a playmate for their toddler. Unprepared for the high energy levels of a weim puppy, the couple soon planned to abandon Jimmy in an open field in Mississippi during the sweltering heat of summer at the tender age of one year old. When Jimmy's now-mother heard of their plans, she said that she would take him, no questions asked. No dog deserves such cruel abandonment! So, without ever meeting Jimmy prior, he was dropped off at the Pope household where he became the little brother to Cocoa the lab mix, Lizzy the Corgi, and Gracie the GSP mix. Since that day in 2008, Jimmy has stolen the hearts of everyone he knows and became an irreplaceable member of the family. He now enjoys lounging on the couch and nursing pillows and a stuffed Peep toy. We could not imagine life without our Jim!
